OUR STORY
We met in an obscure jazz bar in downtown Providence - a somewhat unlikely meeting between a sceptical but creative guitarist with a love of cats and Monty Python and an over-tired transplanted Swedish surgical resident loving anything that wasn't the hospital.
And jazz, of course.
Almost three years later and we've visited half of the jazz clubs between the Lower East Side and Budapest's old quarters. After trying raw sea urchins in the Cyclades, getting lost in Tuscan vineyards, bailing out our car from a junk yard in Paris, lavishing full Berliner decadence, eating surströmming and dancing like small frogs for midsummer, we've pretty much come full circle.
Somewhere along the line we got married and we would love a chance to celebrate it with our family and friends.
We really can't wait to see you there!

THE
WEDDING

GETTING
THERE
TRANSPORTATION
Getting to Rosendals Trädgård is easy. Located centrally in Stockholm, you can take public transportation (the #7 tram from the city center or why not the ferry from Slussen to Gröna Lund and walk from there?) or call a cab (Taxi Stockholm +46 8 15 00 00). The tram runs until 23.40 and the cabs all night.
ACCOMMODATION
For those of you traveling from out of town, Stockholm offers a wide variety of accommodation options. From the celebrity packed Grand Hôtel to the cool hostel on a restored ship "af Chapman" now turned Stockholm landmark, there is something for everyone. Check out a few websites listed below, or let us know and we'll come up with some suggestions!

REGISTRY
Most of all, we are excited to see you. If you'd like to bring a gift and are looking for some inspiration, we created a registry at our favorite stores in Stockholm. Unfortunately these stores do not have online registries and you have to stop by in person (or call them!). They'll have our registry stored behind the counter ready to go and happy to help in person or over the phone!
Svenskt Tenn
Strandvägen 5
+46 8 670 16 00
Georg Jensen
Biblioteksgatan 1
+46 8 545 040 80
For a simpler option, we also created an online registry at Crate and Barrel. They'll take care of the delivery to the US and arrange everything online.
We are planning our honeymoon and would really appreciate any suggestions on where to go and what to do! Currently up for discussion are the Andaman islands, Duba plains in Botswana, Longsheng in China, or Bagan in Myanmar. If you'd rather skip out on a material gift and contribute to our adventure, we'll love you for it forever and promise postcards from the most random outposts around the world!

Miscellaneous
Plus ones
We want to invite all of our family and friends, but the space is restricted. Therefore the invitations are limited to those plus ones that we know well, including sambos and spouses. The invitations are personal, please let us know if you have any questions!
Kids, pets & inlaws
We love your extended family but this is a party for adults only.
Speeches
Would you like to say something during the dinner? Yay! Let our amazing toastmaster Linnéa know.

Come rain or come shine
May weather in Stockholm is notoriously unpredictable. The dresscode is "Summer dress", meaning formal but light festive wear. We put together a few tips to make the evening as comfortable as possible:
-
Bring a sweater or warm scarf
-
-
Avoid stilettos (or bring extra covers/flats!) - we'll be on the lawn and the roads are made of gravel.
-
-
If rain is on the horizon, bring an umbrella. We'll be inside but there's a stretch between the parking lot and the greenhouses that is uncovered.
-
-
If you're the kind that likes midnight swims, bring a bathing suit. There are plenty of bathing opportunities nearby, but if you want to do it Swedish style, nude is the way to go.
